British citizens can visit Honduras for up to 90 days without a visa.

This visa exemption for British citizens took effect on 31 October 2026. Contact the Honduran Embassy in the UK for further information on entry requirements.

If you overstay the 90 days, you may have to pay a fine before leaving Honduras. Contact the Honduran National Institute of Migration for information on overstaying or extending your stay.

Applying for or extending your stay

To stay longer than 90 days, including to work, study or for business, you must meet the Honduran government’s entry requirements. Check what type of visa or work permit you need with the Honduran Embassy in the UK.

Make sure you get your passport stamped.

You will get a 30-day visit entry stamp in your passport when you arrive. Make sure the border control officer puts a stamp in your passport otherwise you may get a fine. If your passport is missing a stamp, return to the immigration desk immediately, or go to the National Institute of Migration in Tegucigalpa as soon as possible.

You can apply at an immigration office to extend your stay.
